Clwyd West MP, David Jones, paid a visit to an angling project organised by the charity Deafblind Cymru at Glasdir farm, Holywell.

Deafblind Cymru has enlisted the help of the Federation of Welsh Anglers, "Angling Cymru", to introduce blind and deaf people of all ages to the sport of angling. David Jones was particularly pleased to meet Olive Pritchard, 91, of Kinmel Bay, who has only recently taken up the sport.

David Jones said:
"I was very pleased to meet Olive and the rest of the deaf and blind anglers, who are obviously enjoying and benefiting from becoming involved in the sport.

"Angling is a great way for people to enjoy the outdoor life, and both Deafblind Cymru and the federation of Welsh Anglers should be congratulated on this excellent initiative."
