With only 5 per cent of rivers in England and Wales described as being in a pristine condition a new survey has been launched by a coalition of conservationists to celebrate and bring attention to some of Britain's best loved and long forgotten rivers.

Angling Trust is supporting the campaign to stop the dumping of contaminated sediments into the sea off Rame Head at the eastern end of Whitsand Bay in Cornwall. Now there is a chance for you to help stop this destruction.
The Angling Trust is delighted to announce that it has secured the biggest cash injection into International Coarse angling in a generation, in the form of a very generous donation of £40,000 to support some of the International Coarse Angling teams.
One of the most prestigious angling matches of the calendar year took place on Saturday 21st August 2010 with 670 anglers (67 teams of 10 anglers) fishing the Angling Trust Division One National Championship.
