AT & CRT Canal Pairs – Grand Union Canal, Loughborough – 19th September
Open to competitors aged 18 & above on the day of the match
Entry fee £40.00 per pair per qualifier
Optional £15.00 pools payment per competitor, payable on the day of the qualifier/s
Prize money for the winning pair from each qualifier is payable from entry fees. (£4.00 per competing pair paid out to the winning pair on each qualifier heat.)
Final to be held on Saturday 16th October 2021 on Shropshire Union Canal, Soudley

The structure for qualifying pairs for 2021 is as below:
Numbers are based on pairs fishing on the day of the match
less than 8 pairs – qualifier cancelled
8-10 pairs – 2 pairs qualify
11-15 pairs – 3 pairs qualify
16-20 pairs – 4 pairs qualify
21-25 pairs – 5 pairs qualify
26-30 pairs – 6 pairs qualify
31-35 pairs – 7 pairs qualify
36-40 pairs – 8 pairs qualify
41-45 pairs – 9 pairs qualify
46-50 pairs – 10 pairs qualify
51 plus pairs – 11 pairs qualify maximum regardless of numbers of pairs competing
11 pairs maximum to qualify
Maximum entry of 50 pairs unless stated
The results of the Pairs Championship shall be determined on a points system.
If a pair cannot attend the final they must notify the Angling Trust by the Monday at 10am the week of the final date. If a pair can’t fish the final then their place will be given to the next qualifying pair from their qualifier.
Cancellation/Refunds: Please note: If you wish to cancel a ticket, you are able to do this from your member account by navigating to “Your Dashboard” in the top right of the website and selecting the “Your Competitions” tab. Alternatively, please inform [email protected] by email, and include your name, the name of the qualifier you would like to cancel, your membership number & post code. We require 7 days notice prior to the qualifier in order to process a refund. Any notification outside of this time scale will not be entitled to receive a refund. Please note: There is no secondary market for the sale or transfer of any tickets.
Please note that as in 2020, there are no reserve lists for 2021.

HQ: Car Park, McDonalds, Epinal Way, Park Road Roundabout, Loughborough, LE11 2HJ.
Fishing: 11.00am – 4.00pm

Local Rules: No bloodworm & Joker
Pike do not count and must be put back in the canal not put in separate net. No bait to be thrown into the canal after the match has finished.

Overview of Canal:
Pegging will be from Scrap yard section to Old Alvion Pub.
Depths Scrap yard 3ft to 5ft deep – 13 metres wide.
Factory wall 5ft plus in depth 13 metres
Moor Lane to Steambridge 4ftto 5ft – 13 metres wide.
Steambridge to Duke of York Bridge 4ft to 5ft deep, possibly widest part of the canal between 15 to 16 metres.
Glebe Street 5ft plus in places and 13 metres wide.
Boat section 4ft to 5ft deep – 13 metres wide.
Hawes, section up to 15 metres wide. 4ft to 5ft deep.
Albion section 5ft deep between 13 and 16 metres wide.
