RiverFest – River Thames, Reading
The biggest and best river competition in the UK is back for 2020!
There are 24 Qualifying events between 20th June and 27th September with 80 anglers (2 qualifiers), 60 anglers (20 qualifiers), and 40 anglers (2 qualifiers) 1 angler from each 20 peg section will progress to the final.
Anglers must be aged 16+ on the day of the qualifier and valid members of Angling Trust, join or renew today at www.anglingtrust.net/membership
The final will take place on the River Trent at Burton Joyce over the weekend of 3rd & 4th October. The 24 qualifying matches will see anglers competing for a shot at the £14,000 top prize from a prize pot of almost £50,000. Subject to all tickets being sold, RiverFest 2020 will see 10 main prizes in the final, ranging from £1,500 for 10th place, up to £14,000 for the winner. Six peg sections prizes of £250 will also be paid out for both of the final days.
Tickets will be sold in 2 rounds;
Round 1: Opened 10.30am Monday 16th March & closes at 23.59 on Monday 30th March. Maximum of 1 ticket per angler in this round
Round 2 Opened 10.30am on Monday 6th April, no restriction on the number of tickets that can be purchased. See individual qualifiers for Round 2 closing dates.
You must print a copy of your e-ticket and present it to the organiser during registration on the morning of the event.
Cancellation/Refunds: Please note: If you wish to cancel a ticket, please inform [email protected] by email, and include your name, the name of the qualifier you would like to cancel, your membership number & post code. We require 7 days notice prior to the qualifier in order to process a refund. Any notification outside of this time scale will not be entitled to receive a refund. Please note: There is no secondary market for the sale or transfer of any tickets.
Please note that for 2020 on spec ticket sales will NOT be permitted in order to protect our volunteers & other anglers. If you have not purchased a ticket in advance prior to the closing date for ticket sales, please do not turn up on spec as you will not be able to purchase a ticket on the day of the match.

HQ: Beale Park in Cafe area, RG8 9NW
The stretch being used is the Reading Fishing Club section located between Pangbourne and Goring. The average depths range between 8ft and 10ft with depths to 14ft on the lower section. The main lines of attack are the pole, whip, waggler and bolo for the roach, skimmers and perch. There are also a few shoals of large bream mainly situated in the top and middle sections of the stretch. This is where the feeder comes into play. The baits that are effective are maggot, caster, hemp and worms. Groundbait is a must. This venue currently holds the Riverfest match record with a catch of bream totaling 156lb.

FOR 2020 POOLS WILL BE PAYABLE ONLINE IN ADVANCE. POOLS ARE £25.00 PER ANGLER.
PAYOUTS WILL BE MADE VIA BANK TRANSFER FROM THE AT FINANCE OFFICE IN THE WEEK FOLLOWING THE MATCH. AT WILL BE IN TOUCH WITH YOU IF YOU ARE DUE WINNINGS.
