Angling Trust Forums

The historically successful Angling Trust Fisheries Forums are now moving exclusively online.

In recent years, there has been ever-greater enthusiasm amongst anglers, clubs, fisheries and administrators for online collaboration that crosses regional barriers. Consequently, the new format will offer any interested party unrestricted access to events, discussions and workshops.

  • They will remain completely open and free.
  • Membership of the Angling Trust is NOT a requirement of attendance.

Online ‘Virtual’ Forums

The online format offers attendance regardless of location. The forums themselves will reflect seasonally relevant discussions, general updates and popular angling topics reflecting instruction and discussion on a national scale from guest speakers including; respected academics, environmentalists, angling experts and key stakeholders.

All virtual forums will run via Zoom and will:

  • Be scheduled to last no longer than 1.5 hours.
  • Present an opportunity to individually connect with experts from your own home,
  • Provide an opportunity for collaborative involvement with colleagues from your club or local fishery.
  • Encourage attendees to ask questions and raise issues whilst sharing knowledge with others.

In the past, virtual forums have explored topics such as funding opportunities, predation and fisheries management and the new programme will extend those topics with other seasonally relevant subjects throughout the year. All virtual forum opportunities will appear here in due course, together with full details of how to join a singular event.

Event discussions and Q&A from previous virtual forums are available to view here:
