Our winners can now look forward to spending 48 hrs at Reading & District Angling Association’s Junction 12 lake next weekend with Terry, Oz, Tom and Nick and enjoying food from Fink Food Fishing.  We’ll share photos and films from the event over the coming weeks.

We’re delighted to launch the ‘Ultimate Carp Social 2023’ in association with Reading and District Angling Association.

On offer are 4 chances to win exclusive access to renowned ‘Junction 12’ carp lake for 48 hours accompanied by 4 legends of carp angling.

Terry Hearn, Oz Holness, Tom Stokes and Nick Helleur have generously donated their time to give 4 lucky winners the ultimate carp session.

The 4 prize winners will have exclusive access to Reading and District Angling Association’s Junction 12 carp lake on Friday 9th to Sunday 11th June 2023. The 15 acre lake is reported to hold up to 500 carp with 12 different known 40lb+ fish present.

In addition, our winners will enjoy takeaway curry by the bank courtesy of Reading and District Angling Association on Friday 9th and a social BBQ on Saturday 10th courtesy of Fink Food Fishing. These are great opportunities for everyone to get together, meet one another and ask questions of the other anglers.

Tickets for a chance to win are just £5 – simply check out the details of prizes below and decide which legend you would like to fish with!  All proceeds from the draw will be used to continue our fight for fish and fishing.

Tickets for the Ultimate Carp Social 2023 are on sale from 10am on the 27th April to 8pm on the 28th May 2023.  The draw to select our 4 lucky winners will take place on the 30th May 2023.  As with previous Prize Draws, over 75% of all proceeds, (after costs relating to transaction fees, promotion, advertising and design costs are deducted), are ploughed back into the Angling Trust to support our work. Once again, no costs have been incurred on prizes, all are generously donated by our ambassadors and supporters.

Terry Hearn Prize

Terry is a carp-angling phenomenon and arguably the best big carp hunter the UK has ever seen. He has an uncanny ability to tune-in to his quarry's environment, and he makes full use of what he learns applying his decades of knowledge and experience to each individual challenge. Terry’s staggering catches are the product of his skills as a carp hunter aligned with a passion for his sport that burns ever brighter with the passage of time. Oz Holness Prize

Oz is quite simply a superb carp angler – he has caught many of the country’s most iconic carp including Two-tone and the Burghfield Common. Oz documented some of his stories in his excellent book “Forces of Nature” and is the focus of a number of social media films with Sticky Baits and Thinking Anglers. One winner will have the opportunity to fish alongside Oz for 48 hours, learning from one of the very best anglers around.

Tom Stokes Prize

Often referred to as the nicest guy in carp fishing, Tom is an inspirational angler whose enthusiasm is infectious. Tom has caught some phenomenal fish from a variety of waters including three different highly sought after 50lb + UK common carp in recent years. Tom has embedded himself alongside the successful anglers within the Korda stable and has added to his UK success with some incredible fish from the continent. One very lucky winner will have the opportunity to partner Tom for 48 hours.

Nick Helleur Prize

Nick is simply one of the best big carp anglers of his generation. With an incredible album of big carp, Nick has caught from an enormous variety of venues both at home and abroad. His capture of a stunning 50lb+ river Thames linear was testament to his pioneering attitude to fishing. Nick is a member of the Sticky Baits team and his Thinking Anglers vlog details a regular snapshot of his fishing adventures. Nick is known for his straight talking and quick wit and one extremely lucky winner will have the opportunity to fish with him for 48 hours.
