Leonard Cheshire Disability anglers rewarded with cracking canal pike

We heard from Keith Pope who helps organise fishing sessions for the Leonard Cheshire Disability care home at Greenhill House near Bath about a pike fishing session with their service users Jason and Kevin.

The two anglers and volunteer helpers Alex Fraser (from the Pike Angler’s Club) and Chris and Neil from the centre had an awesome few hours on the Kennet and Avon canal at Bathampton in March, as you can see from these pictures!

Fishing the far side of the canal alongside moored boats, Kevin’s bait was only in the water for 15 minutes before he landed a hungry pike.

Then Alex and Jason had a bite from the bigger fish – a fantastic end to their 3 hour session and proof if ever it was needed that you are never far away from an easily accessible venue to get fishing on the UK’s brilliant canal network.
