Angling Trust Carp Championships Launched
The Angling Trust Carp Championships launched earlier this week, on Tuesday 24th April, and it will see aspiring pairs battle it out for their cut of the potential £7,000 prize pool. The competition has been designed to be the best priced and most exciting national pairs event, with carefully selected matches at the following venues:
Qualifiers (10hr matches)
Clattercote Reservoir (30 pairs) – Saturday 9th June
Boddington Reservoir (30 pairs) – Saturday 30th June
Clattercote Reservoir (30 pairs) – Sunday 8th July
Clattercote Reservoir (30 pairs) – Saturday 4th August
Final (24hr match)
Barston Lakes – Saturday 8th September (16 pairs)

Angling Trust Competitions Development Manager James Lewis commented;
‘”The concept of the competition was to create a contest with a broad appeal, I wanted to make an accessible carp contest with a low price point which will hopefully encourage more carpers into the competitive scene”.
There will be two price points for the competition (£100 for Angling Trust Members and £130 Non- Members) with the following launches;
Round 1 – Angling Trust members – Opened Tuesday 24th April at 10:30am.
Round 2 – Non Members – Opens Tuesday 1st May at 10:30am.
