RIVERFEST RETURNS FOR 2023 – DON’T MISS OUT ON YOUR TICKET!
BRITAIN’S biggest competition for river anglers returns on Tuesday March 21 as tickets go on sale for Angling Trust RiverFest 2023.
Offering a prize fund of £50,000 in the final, this is the competition all top match anglers want to win and to celebrate the 11th year of the event the Angling Trust has added more opportunities for anglers to get involved.
This year there will be 26 qualifiers taking place across the country, with a mix of weekend and midweek competitions, all starting on opening day, Friday June 16.
Each qualifier will be split into sections of two, three, or four depending on the number of pegs with the winners of each section earning a golden ticket to the two-day final on the River Trent at Burton Joyce in September.
Event creator and Angling Trust RiverFest ambassador, Dave Harrell, is looking forward to an exciting season ahead.
“RiverFest has gone from strength to strength over the past 10 years and that’s due to the anglers, organisers, and great clubs like Ashfield Anglers who are involved in the competition.
“The addition of the extra qualifiers, including some midweek matches, as well as the new venues we’re using this year has been well received, as has the price freeze on tickets,” revealed Dave.
“We’ve had ten different winners of RiverFest in the past decade and that’s the beauty of the competition, everyone who buys a ticket is in with a chance of winning.”
This year will see tickets sold in two stages to allow anglers the best chance to grab a slice of the action.
HOW THE TICKETS WILL BE SOLD
RiverFest tickets will be offered in two stages via the Angling Trust website www.anglingtrust.net and you’ll need your membership number handy to be able to log in and buy.
Tuesday March 21 at 10am – tickets will go on sale on a one-angler, one-ticket basis allowing as many match anglers as possible to obtain a place on one of their favourite fisheries’ qualifiers. Stage 1 ticketing will end at midnight on Sunday April 2.
Tuesday April 4 at 10am – tickets will go on general sale and anglers will be able to purchase as many qualifier tickets as they wish until the events sell out.
