ENGLAND DISABLED FIRED UP FOR WORLD CHAMPS WITH DRAGON AND RINGERS BACKING
There will be a buzz around the England Disabled World Champs team this weekend as Dragon Energy Drinks and Ringer Baits have pledged their support to John Weeden’s squad.
Lining up to do battle on Bulgaria’s Plovdiv rowing course, the team has received £1,000 to go into their fighting fund from Ringers plus full use of a van, clothing and thousands of cans and bottles of drinks courtesy of Kingsley Beverages, owners of Dragon Energy.
“We are proud to support the England Anglers With Disabilities team in their quest for gold in Bulgaria,” commented Ringer Baits MD Phil Ringer. “The team currently self-funds itself, which is bitterly disappointing in any sport. We jumped at the chance to help alongside Dragon Energy, further cementing their association with match fishing.”
The Anglers With Disabilities World Championships takes place on Friday June 14th and Saturday June 15th on the Plovdiv rowing course in Bulgaria, where England will be looking to improve on fifth place in last year’s event.
“I’ve got to say a massive thank you to Phil Ringer and Chris Bradshaw at Kingsley,” John said. “Every little really does help and if we don’t have to worry about money when we’re on the bank, we can focus fully on the fishing and winning gold. It’s going to be a hot one apparently, so the drinks are going to come in very handy indeed!”
