AQUASTIM TEAM SOUTHFIELD SMASH FEEDER NATIONAL
Aquastim Team Southfield left everyone in their wake on their local Aire and Calder Canal, winning the Angling Trust Feeder National by a clear 13 points and qualifying for the 2025 World Club Feeder Champs in the process.
Southfield skipper Steve Richardson put their stunning 18-point section score down to plenty of practice in the build up to the main match and the team knew what they were fishing for on every peg, carding two firsts, a second, a sixth and an eighth.
Second team on the day were Graphite Feeder Team with 31 points, eight ahead of Feederland Nomads who finished third on 39.
On an individual front, Sensas Lobby’s Andy Reid was well clear of the pack in D section with 20k 930g, although he had to wait a couple of hours before the bream rocked up on his feeder line fished two thirds across the canal.
His catch helped Lobby’s to finish in fourth place with 41 points, just ahead of NuFish Ossett on 42.
Southfield’s David Clarkson claimed the second individual spot with his 15k 330g net with Richard Vaughan, Daiwa Doncaster, third after finishing the day with 13k 650g.
