Team England Fly Fishing Euro Champs team revealed!
The side to represent Team England Fly Fishing at next week’s FIPS-Mouche European Fly Fishing Championship has been announced, the squad set to do battle across both river and lake venues from October 19th – 24th.
Sondrio in the Lombardy region of Italy is hosting the event, which will see top anglers from across Europe compete in the ultimate test of skill, precision, and watercraft on Alpine rivers the Adda, Mallero and Mera and Lake Palu, all of which are 2000m above sea level!
Representing England will be captain Del Spry, Andy Taylor, Chris Richardson and Stan Moore, managed by Simon Clarke. It’s a team that brings together a wealth of talent and international competition experience.
“Getting some of the team out to Italy in June, has given us a valuable first-hand insight into the competition waters, allowing us to tailor our tactics well in advance,” Simon said. “The Alpine rivers present a unique challenge, and whilst we remain mindful that the conditions in October may be very different to that in June, we’re confident in our ability to adapt, perform, and represent our country with pride.”
Fans and supporters can follow the team’s progress on social media and through updates provided by Angling Trust Competitions and Team England Fly Fishing.
