Fighting for Fishing

Drought, floods … and a few fine fish!

In his latest blog, Martin Salter looks back on a year of fishing challenged by floods and cold weather in spring, a heatwave and drought in summer, and a mild autumn and winter.

“Fishing will always be a weather dependent activity,” writes Martin, “and the beauty of being an all-round angler is the ability to pick a method or a species best suited to the conditions that confront us.”

That ability to adapt led to some cracking tench, crucian and rudd – and a PB barbel from the Trent!
