England Ladies 2026 Assessment Day – Apply Now!
Could YOU be part of a winning England squad in 2026?
Angling Trust England Ladies coarse team manager Dave Brooks is to host an assessment day for female anglers wanting to be part of this year’s bid for World Champs glory.
The FIPSed Ladies World Championships takes place in Spain this August and we want you to get your application in now to be part of the journey to success.
Open to all anglers, the assessment day takes place at Lindholme’s F1-packed Loco Lake on Sunday March 15 where anglers will be put through their paces under the watchful eye of the manager and coaching team.
The Spanish venue the squad will head for – a lake approximately 90km from Valencia – is packed with small carassio around 100g to 300g each and will mainly see the anglers pole fishing at speed. But Dave is keen to point out this assessment isn’t about who catches the most.
“I’m looking for anglers who have a strong fishing brain, can work as a team, are adaptable with tactics and feeding, and can think for themselves,” he explained
“Everyone is welcome to join us at the assessment day, and we especially want to hear from up-and-coming youngsters with the drive and ambition to fish for England.”
If you think you’ve got what it takes, you can apply here – https://anglingtrust.net/…/tea…/jjl-team-england-ladies/
Anglers between 13 and 16 years old can take part in the assessment through the Angling Trust’s Young Angler
Exemption scheme – more information here… https://anglingtrust.net/junior-angler-exemption/
The Ladies World Championships takes place in Spain from August 17 to 22, 2026.
Deadline for all applications is Friday February 20, 2026.
