Top Clothing Retailer Helps Fight Pollution

Angling Trust are delighted to announce that Weird Fish Clothing have come on board as a sponsor of our Anglers Against Pollution campaign alongside Orvis and Angling Direct, and will be launching an exclusive range of T-shirts to raise funds and awareness of the campaign.
The initial launch will be comprised of four shirts which will be available online and through Weird Fish retail stores throughout the country. Weird Fish have confirmed that they will donate £5 to the campaign for every T-shirt sold.
With over 800 volunteers carrying out water quality checks on the rivers and estuaries they fish, right around the country, the Anglers Against Pollution campaign is using the key data collected to step-up the pressure on water companies, the government, industry and agriculture to clean up their act and stop polluting our rivers, lakes and seas.
Angling Trust Head of Fundraising, John Cheyne explained the idea behind the partnership: “I’ve personally been wearing Weird Fish shirts and hoodies for years. The quality and designs are great and having a fish motif on your clothes when you are a passionate angler just seems right. So, I was delighted by the response we got, when we invited the company to partner with us on this new range of T-shirts. The Weird Fish team couldn’t have been more enthusiastic and were keen to help, and we were blown away by the designs they have come up with for the launch.”
From Weird Fish’s point of view, it seemed like a perfect campaign to get behind, Dan Marsland, Head of Marketing at Weird Fish commented ‘We are all really excited about our partnership with Angling Trust and to become a sponsor of Anglers Against pollution. Having spent a day with volunteers on the river recently, we realised just how big this problem is, and the impact pollution has not only on rivers, but the wider environment. The initial reaction to our new T-Shirts has been fantastic with the donation from sales going to a great cause’.
And the great news for Angling Trust members is that they receive 20% off all purchases at Weird Fish! Discount codes can be accessed from their member dashboards and we have launch emails going out to our contacts over the next few days. Visit Weird Fish to shop for yours today
