TEAM ENGLAND U25 APPLICATIONS OPEN
COULD YOU FISH FOR ENGLAND UNDER 25s IN 2023?
Angling Trust England Under 25 team manager Mark Downes is calling on talented young anglers with ambitions to represent their country to get in touch now as he begins his plans for next year’s World Youth Championships.
Applications are being invited from all current and prospective England anglers who want to be part of the Sensas-backed squad which takes on the famous River Sorraia, in Portugal, in early August 2023.
Squad positions are open to both male and female anglers, but all candidates must be under 25 years of age on December 31, 2022, to be eligible to fish.
“There are a lot of talented young anglers out there who we want to hear from,” explained Mark. “The Sorraia is a highly technical venue which we’ve had great success on in the past and we want to continue that form at this event by taking the best anglers.
“This is one of the most hotly contested World Championships in the calendar and we’re going there to win.”
All successful applicants will be invited to an assessment day in the new year where the squad will be selected by Mark and his team of coaches.
Applications should be made via the form here: U25s-England-Youth-Assessment-Trial-Application-Form-2023
Deadline for all applications is Friday January 20, 2023.
Successful applicants will be invited to fish the assessment day where squad selection will take place.
