Check a licensed coach in your area

Level 2 Angling Lead Coach/Angling Event Lead Coach licensing allows the licence holder to run and manage angling coaching sessions on his/her own or as the person responsible for running an event. Level 2 coaches with a current and valid licence hold insurance, current UK Coaching safeguarding and first aid training and have undergone the appropriate category of Enhanced DBS check within the last three years.

Level 1 Angling Support Coach licensing allows the licence holder to work under direct supervision of a Level 2 Angling Lead Coach/Angling Event Lead Coach. Level 1 coaches with a current and valid licence have insurance and have undergone ahe appropriate category of Enhanced DBS check within the last three years.

Angling Trust Coaching

Coaches becoming licensed for the first time are supplied with photographic ID showing their name, qualification level, licence number, membership reference and the expiry date/validity period of their Licensed Coach membership.  However Angling Trust is to launch a more eco-friendly digital licence, and no more plastic cards are being generated.

If you are a currently licensed coach and your name does not appear on the latest version of the Check a Coach list, please ring Licensing Administration on 0343 5077 003 (option 3) or email [email protected] to update your records. Please feel free to contact us.  The Check a Coach list is normally updated each fortnight.
