Leading Safer Clubs 6
We are pleased to offer support training for those who have been appointed as Welfare Officers for Angling Clubs, Fisheries and Federations.
- The next course will be taking place on Thursday 11th July 2024 7pm – 9pm
This course is an online, classroom-based course lasting about 90 minutes. Most courses will be run in the early evening. They will be delivered by members of our coach education workforce and will cover the following topics:
- Roles and responsibilities
- What makes a great welfare officer
- Current legislation
- Knowing your organisation
- What to prioritise
- Policies and procedures
- Involving and listening to young people and members
- How to report a concern
- Practical scenarios
Each course will have at least 10 people taking part and a maximum of 15 people, so that you get opportunities to discuss common themes. If a course does not reach the minimum number required, we will allocate you to another course.
How to enter
You will need to download the ZOOM application (which is free to use) either on your computer, laptop or smartphone.
Booking via the online facility secures your place on the Zoom session for the displayed date. The tutor will email your Zoom link: please read the instructions sent in good time before the course.
Booking closes at 9.00 am on 10th July 2024 or when all places are taken. The cost of the course is £15 per person.
