Outwood Nature Trail | River Irwell, Bury | Invasive Species I D Tour
The Angling Trust’s Environment Officers are hosting an Invasive Species tour in Bury, Greater Manchester. Unfortunately, the River Irwell and surrounding areas are suffering from various Invasive Non-Native plant species. By the end of the day, attendees will be able to confidently ID some of the most common terrestrial INNS species in the UK including; Himalayan Balsam, Giant Hogweed and Japanese Knotweed. Attendees will also learn best practice on how to manage such species. Our events are inclusive as possible with physical and non-physical roles available on the day. We encourage everyone to get involved.
