How to Apply
Follow these 3 steps
- You MUST firstly read the Guidance Notes for Applicants
- If you are a new applicant register your organisation on the Grant Management System. If you already have a log in from any previous application you do not need to register again. (Please note this is NOT your Angling Trust membership details)
- Read and have to hand the Essential Advice Document. This will greatly assist you in completing your application correctly.

About the Angling Improvement Fund
Winning projects from previous years
Winning Project 2023 - 24
In 2023 - 24, the Angling Trust again had 2 rounds of funding, Predation and Bio Security. We successfully funded a total of 51 projects across both streams.
Winning Projects 2022 - 23
In 2022-23, the Angling Improvement Fund agreed funding for 54 projects across both Predation and Biosecurity funding streams, totalling £233K.
Winning Projects 2021 - 22
In 2021-22, the Angling Improvement Fund ran two different tranches of funding. Over £200,000 was awarded to 52 different Clubs and Fisheries in England. The first theme focused once again on predation, tackling and preventing the impact of fish eating birds and mammals. The second theme addressed the growing problem of Invasive Non Native Species and Bio Security.
