Events - East of England
Get Fishing is the Angling Trust's campaign to get more people fishing more often. Each year we run hundreds of events for all ages and abilities. Get Fishing angling events are for anyone who wants to get into fishing, get back into angling or find out where to go fishing, who to go fishing with, what to use to start fishing and how to go fishing for the first time.

How to get a listing on Get Fishing
Want to run a beginner fishing event or help people to get back into angling? We want to hear from clubs, fisheries and other organisations across the region so that we can help you to deliver brilliant low-cost or free fishing events. We can also help get a representative from your organisation trained to become a qualified and licenced angling coach so that you can run your own events and bring the amazing benefits of angling to your communities. In some cases we can help you to access free or low-cost fishing tackle to help newcomers or returners start fishing. We can also help you access event funding for participation events, and get a free fishing licence for beginner events from the Environment Agency. Contact your nearest Participation Team member James Roche about opportunities like this.
