Everybody is welcome to come and try fishing during Summer into Fishing ā whatever your age, ability or experience level and fishing offers the opportunity to escape the demands of a busy school,Ā work and home life by surrounding yourself in nature and wildlife away from a world of technology. It provides an opportunity for our minds to rest and reset and can be a meditative pastime that often happens in places where the wonders of nature are very evident. Going fishing is a perfect activity to incorporate in mental health and wellbeing support activity for kids and adults alike.

About the Environment Agency
The Environment Agency funds the Angling Trust to provide more opportunities for people to go fishing and encourage sales of fishing rod licences. Money from fishing licence sales is spent on improving fisheries habitat and angling infrastructure projects.

Sport England recognise the Angling Trust as the national governing body in England. It funds the work we do to promote active lifestyles and to maintain a regular participation habit through the sport of angling and in partnership with other organisations to deliver the National Angling Strategy.
