Sea Angling Classic offers biggest prize table in UK sea fishing history
The inaugural Sea Angling Classic, taking place on 15-19 June 2022 in Portsmouth, will see anglers
compete for the most valuable Prize Table ever offered in a UK sea angling boat fishing event, with
£200,000 worth of prizes up for grabs across the two event categories: the Recreational Boat
Category and the Charter Boat Category.
Another enticing prospect for competitors is that there will be a total of 60 prizes awarded across
the two categories as part of the huge prize table.
The Recreational Boat Category boasts a £150,000 Prize Table with the lucky winning team taking
the top prize of a high spec, fully rigged Extreme 745 Game King and trailer with a Mercury V8 4.6lt
Pro XS 250 engine, fitted out with the Lowrance® Ultimate Fishing System.

Would use choose £50,000 and the use of the boat at selected competitions for a year…or just keep the boat forever ?
However, in an exciting twist at the Sea Angling Classic prizegiving on Sunday 19 June, the winning
team will face a tricky decision. Live on stage the winners will be presented with the keys to the boat
and £50,000 in cash, and have 60 seconds to choose which prize they wish to take! A tough decision
particularly when the cash option includes use of the prize boat at various fishing competitions
throughout the UK for a year.
It’s going to be a spectacular competition with Angling Trust running fishing taster sessions for new anglers alongside the main event and what’s even better is that if you enter the event through the Angling Trust, then every penny of your entry fee will go towards our work to introduce a new generation of anglers to see fishing through our Get Fishing Campaign.
