ENGLAND STAR WINS INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL ON WARWICKSHIRE AVON
England star Lee Kerry is the 2025 Angling Trust Individual National Champion after a hard-earned 7k 550g catch from the Warwickshire Avon.
One of the most stunning rivers in the country, the match took in picture-postcard sections at Warwick, Barford, Wasperton, Seven Meadows, and Twyford Farm.
Unfortunately, the fishing didn’t match the beauty with bright sunshine and a low, clear river seeing the 180 anglers struggle.
Even the noted big chub and bream swims failed to give up their usual residents on the day, leaving nets of silvers to dominate the frame and sections.

Winner Lee found plenty of fish in his peg below the weir at Barford for a £500 payday.
Fishing classic waggler tactics with maggots and casters, Lee boosted his small silvers with chunky chublets and barbel.
Runner up was reigning RiverFest champion Mike Bedding who took an all roach catch of 6k 940g from Seven Meadows.
All eyes are now looking towards the Division One National in a couple of weeks time, with forecasted rain hopefully giving the sport a boost.
* Thanks to all the anglers, stewards, and clubs who supported the competition this year.
