Competitions Administration Manager to leave Angling Trust after 16 years
The Angling Trust regret to announce that Sandra Johnson has decided to leave the Angling Trust today, after 16 years’ service.
Sandra, who joined the National Federation of Anglers in 2005, has been central to the competitions delivery of the NFA and, since 2009, the Angling Trust. Over that time, Sandra has experienced the broadening of events to encompass game and sea anglers, the success of Fishomania, the changes in team fishing, the continued growth of commercial type venues and emergence of new events and teams including RiverFest and Carp Team England.
Anglers, key volunteers, stewards and England team members would all have benefitted from the behind the scenes work Sandra has undertaken over the years and may have seen her on the bank at a number of World Championships and other events.
We are sure many will miss her “can do” attitude and welcoming telephone manner, whether it was in respect of the preparation for a National championship or in sending a team overseas to represent England. Sandra will be a hard act to follow and we wish her all the very best in her next challenge.
