New trade partner Avid Carp to support the work of the Angling Trust
The Angling Trust is delighted to announce that Avid Carp, one of the most respected carp fishing tackle brands, has agreed to become a Trade Associate partner for the next 12 months.
As part of the agreement, Avid Carp will play an active role in supporting the essential work of the Trust including campaigns to protect waterways for the benefit of fish, fishing and the environment, and growing our sport by encouraging more people to take up fishing.
Since launching in 2010, the Telford-based company has become widely known throughout the carp fishing world with its comprehensive product range catering for different fishing styles and every budget. Part of the Fox International Group, Avid Carp has formed a reputation not only for its high quality but also for the innovative and unique products found within the range.
Sam James, Avid Carp Media Manager, said:
“We are delighted to be teaming up with the Angling Trust as a Trade Associate member. The events of the past few years have demonstrated the importance of angling within all our lives. The Angling Trust has led from the front ensuring that the voices of anglers across the country weren’t lost during the chaos of the pandemic. The beauty of angling is that it means different things to everyone. However, one thing we do share is the positive impact angling has on our well-being.
“With the worst of the pandemic hopefully behind us now, the Angling Trust continues the good work ensuring several significant issues close to us continue to gain traction. Raising awareness for angling through several schemes including their ‘Take a Friend Fishing’ in association with the Environment Agency, has been a huge success. The number of new anglers we regularly see on the banks or get messages from is refreshing. We are certain this will ensure that the angling industry continues to prosper for future generations, encouraging more and more individuals to take up angling each year.
“Another area of the Angling Trust’s work that we truly believe in is the protection of our environment, as well as ensuring that we have sustainable places to fish. Addressing issues such as pollution and predation is key to ensuring the future of angling.”
Sam also had a message for anglers who are not yet members of the Angling Trust.
“We appreciate the financial difficulties faced by many families across the country at this current time. However, the small annual membership fee really can make a huge difference to the future of angling. We look forward to working alongside the Angling Trust for many years to come.”
John Cheyne, Angling Trust Marketing, Membership & Communications Manager, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Avid Carp as an Angling Trust Trade Associate. It’s clear that the Avid Carp team are passionate about our campaign work to protect our waters from pollution and other threats, and fully support our initiatives to get more people to take up fishing.
“As one of the fastest growing tackle brands of the past decade, Avid Carp have built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in a relatively short period and I look forward to working with Sam and the Avid Carp team throughout the year.”
