Anne Woodcock knows that This Girl Can Get Fishing!
Anne Woodcock has spent her life involved in fishing and is devoted to using all aspects of angling to benefit individuals. Well known within angling and country-sports communities, Anne has been particularly active in connecting more women with angling. Ladies Fishing UK – which she founded – organise not for profit fishing events for women. Anne is also the Marketing Director at FishPal and a weekly contributor on the popular fishing show ‘Gone Fishing with Sam Harris’ on CVFM radio. We spoke to Anne about the latest phase of This Girl Can, which she has supported in previous years as well…
“Angling means I’m out by the waterside every day, sometimes for my fishing work but even just to stay in touch with conditions on my local River Wear where I enjoy daily walks.
This is a great way for me to stay active, unwind and reconnect with reality after the demands of the office, and the increasing need nowadays to be switched on to various social media for business.
I know that I’m not alone either. I meet hundreds of women who benefit from the strong connection between angling, mental and physical health, activity and being among nature.
Going fishing helps countless numbers of females each year to overcome health issues and maintain a positive outlook. ‘This Girl Can‘ definitely get fishing, and it’ll help you to stay healthy, active and happy!”
