Know someone who stopped fishing? Help them start again?
Our Partnership Development Manager James Roche writes…
Know someone who stopped fishing for some reason – why not help them start again? Watch out for our FREE 4 hour “Get Back Into Angling” sessions near you run by qualified angling coaches who’ll provide the skills and confidence for anyone to get back into angling after a break from the sport. Use of tackle and bait is provided free so all you’ll need to bring with you is a friend with a rod licence!
The cost of this kind of coaching would usually be about £50 so this is a bargain – adult daily fishing licences for a mate are just £6.00 or you can get a week or annual one.
Contact Danny and Dave, our Angling Development Officers (details below) to get involved in running Get Back Into Angling sessions or if you want to attend one, but can’t find one close enough to where you live.

The “Get Fishing” campaign is run by the Angling Trust to increase the number of people being introduced to angling across the country. Anyone interested in going fishing can find angling events at Get Fishing Near You. The events listed are for all participants regardless of gender, age, fitness or previous angling experience.
Angling Participation and the Get Fishing campaign is supported by Environment Agency fishing licence income and helps to introduce thousands of people to fishing each year.
