Get Fishing Gatherings are here to take you and your family on the next step of your angling adventure…

Meet other like-minded anglers, reel in a new skill and take your fishing to the next level completely FREE OF CHARGE at this summer’s celebrations of all things angling the all-new Get Fishing Gatherings!

Organised by the Angling Trust and supported by the Environment Agency, places are limited and available to previous Get Fishing Event participants, so don’t miss out, pre-book a place.

Hosted at quality assured venues, our experienced Get Fishing Volunteers will be on hand with expert instruction to develop your existing fishing experience so you can become a better angler as well as creating some wonderful summer memories. Activities will vary from event to event, but we can guarantee a fun, friendly day for everyone with a basic understanding of fishing. We’ll provide a free one-day fishing licence from the Environment Agency. If you prefer to bring your own fishing kit, that’s fine too!

The Environment Agency funds the Angling Trust to provide more opportunities for people to go fishing and encourage sales of fishing rod licences. Money from fishing licence sales is spent on improving fisheries habitat and angling infrastructure through projects like the Angling Improvement Fund.
