Reforming UK Fisheries Management
UK fisheries management, monitoring and enforcement must incorporate the interests and voices of sea anglers and we are pushing the Government to recognise us as legitimate stakeholders.
Taking Action to Conserve Our Coastal Sport
The Fisheries Bill
Leaving the EU gives the UK an unprecedented opportunity to change how our fisheries are managed through the development of a new UK fisheries Act of Parliament. We are campaigning to ensure recreational fishing is formally included in the Act, giving you a voice so that sea anglers’ views and needs will be taken into account in the future management of UK fish stocks.
Reforming Inshore Fisheries Management
Since 2010 we’ve been campaigning at a local level to reform how the Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities in England manage inshore fishing out to 6 miles at sea. It’s an ever evolving process; from bylaws to do with netting, to trawling, to minimum legal sizes, bait collection and more, we are involved in the reform, development and review of new and existing bylaws which govern fishing and impact on the quality of, and access to, your angling.
