Taking A Political Stand
It’s a new dawn for sea anglers. The Fisheries Act (2020) recognises recreational fishing as a stakeholder in fisheries management for the first time, thanks to work by the Angling Trust. We’re continuing to push hard on getting sea anglers voices heard in UK marine policy.

Recreationally Important Species
Sea anglers are ambassadors for the marine environment. We’re gathering data on recreationally important species to secure the future of world-class angling opportunities in the UK through science and best practice.

Marine Protected Areas
Healthy seas and abundant fish stocks are vital for the future of our sport. We are working hard with other stakeholders to ensure the voice of recreational anglers is accounted for to protect the future of our seas.
