Get Fishing News
Mum, Ben, Sam all now hooked on fishing
Our Partnership Development Manager Dean Asplin was involved in arranging a fishing session for families at a club he works with… Dean writes:
I helped to run an open day to get families fishing together at Combwich AC. Deb, one of the parents who attended wrote to me and said: “Thank you SO much for all your help, guidance and gear today. Both Sam and Ben enjoyed it immensely and we will definitely return and join an angling course. I can see us fishing quite a bit from now on!”
Please help families like this hear about fishing opportunities by telling them about Get Fishing as we need more newcomers trying angling, and with junior fishing licences now free for 12-16 year olds it’s never been easier for young people to start fishing.

The “Get Fishing” campaign is run by the Angling Trust to increase the number of people being introduced to angling across the country. Anyone interested in going fishing can find angling events at Get Fishing. The events listed are for all participants regardless of gender, age, fitness or previous angling experience.
Angling Participation and the Get Fishing campaign is supported by Environment Agency fishing licence income and helps to introduce thousands of people to fishing each year.
