National Fever! as Junior and Schools National approach
The Angling Trust’s historic Youth, Junior and Schools national angling competition returns this summer, once again taking place at Makins Fishery in a push to get more young people outside, active and into healthy hobbies. The dates are as follows:
- AT Junior (10-15yrs) & Youth National (16-20yrs) – Saturday 29thJune
- AT Schools National – Wednesday 17thJuly
There’s already been a flurry of entries into both contests, however the Angling Trust is keen to grow both competitions even further to help bring more youngsters into the sport.
Angling Trust’s Joe Roberts said: “It’s great to see youngsters finding their way into the sport again, we’ve had a huge boost from Tackle Guru this year supporting the Junior sides and it’s competitions like these, that will help young anglers along the pathway to a future in angling”.
As ever one of the largest draws for the Youth National is the all-important Junior Fish’O’Mania qualification, which is awarded to all the individual section winners.
Entry into all of the nationals requires an entry form which are available here, along with further details on the contest.
Forms are also available via Phone: 0115 822 4519 or 0115 822 4532, or email. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible and hope to see you on the bank this summer.
