Get Fishing is the Angling Trust’s campaign to get more people fishing more often. Get into fishing at hundreds of events for all ages and abilities. They are funded by the Environment Agency from fishing licence income
Beginner angling events - want to get into fishing, get back into angling, find out where to go fishing, accessible venues, who to go fishing with, tackle to use to start fishing and how to go fishing for the first time this summer at events near you
Our Partnership Development Manager Dean Asplin worked with Abbey Lake Angling Club who hosted a great Let’s Go Family Fishing event… Dean writes:
I congratulate Abbey Lake Angling Club and all involved in delivering such a fun event which really captured the Let’s Go Family Fishing campaign message that “fishing is for everyone!” Club volunteers did a fantastic job and introduced over 55 people to angling – a brilliant result.
Charlotte Cook, the council’s Community Manager made contact with me again after the session to say that “Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the club had a brilliant time delivering the event.”
