Full House at Family Fun Day
Our Partnership Development Manager James Roche writes…
Poringland Lakes’ Family Fishing Fun Days scored a “full house” of participants at its session held in glorious summer sunshine near Norwich with loads of fish caught by everyone attending.
Speaking for many, local Mum Claire said “We all enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to all the team for all their help and advice.
The children are already talking about when they can go again!”. Coordinator Ray Noble celebrated the turn out. “We had a great day with 20 people fishing and ages varying from four-year-old Zachary to 70+ Granddad John. It was a brilliant day and I must thank all our coaches, fishing champions and helpers. Without their support, we could never run these events”.

The “Get Fishing” campaign is run by the Angling Trust to increase the number of people being introduced to angling across the country. Anyone interested in going fishing can find angling events at Get Fishing Near You. The events listed are for all participants regardless of gender, age, fitness or previous angling experience.
Angling Participation and the Get Fishing campaign is supported by Environment Agency fishing licence income and helps to introduce thousands of people to fishing each year.
