Following a successful relaunch in 2021, National Fishing Month is back for 2022! National Fishing Month is an Angling Trades Association initiative supported by the Angling Trust and the Environment Agency. 2022 is set to be the biggest year yet so why not join us as we celebrate the wonderful world of fishing.

This year, National Fishing Month will look to celebrate all forms of angling, spreading awareness of all the benefits that angling can bring to people that have never tried it before.

This year’s campaign sees the launch of a new online registration process so you can be a part of National Fishing Month too!

By Signing Up, you’ll be able to access a free pack of resources including a Get into Fishing booklet, fish information wall chart and fishing log book as well as regular email updates throughout National Fishing Month with information on all the activities and offers taking place, links to local fishing venues as well as top tips on how to get fishing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to take part in a summer full of activity with the chance to get into fishing.

About National Fishing Month
The Angling Trades Association created this initiative to encourage more people to get a taste for fishing. It works in partnership with the Angling Trust, Environment Agency and Canal & River Trust.

The Environment Agency is asking people across England and Wales to give fishing a go this National Fishing Month (1st-31st August 2022), which is back again this year and bigger than ever – celebrating the surging popularity of the sport among beginners during the pandemic. A series of events across the country will aim to get more people involved in the sport that’s surged in popularity since lockdown.

It’s a chance to get out in nature, have fun, spend time with others or relax on your own. Steps have been taken to improve inclusivity, with a calendar that features family-friendly and wheelchair-accessible events. Everyone is welcome – find a free event near you at www.anglingtrust.net/getfishing/events
