Beaucroft School Get Fishing in Dorset
Our Partnership Development Manager Dean Asplin reports back on school fishing sessions which are introducing school pupils to fishing in Dorset…
Sixteen pupils from Beaucroft School in Dorset attended Wimborne & District Angling Club’s “Get Into Angling” sessions. They all had loads of fun and have taken away many great memories from the day, not to mention the brilliant learning experience of catching their first fish!
The club has worked closely with the Angling Trust’s national “Get Fishing” campaign to encourage more newcomers to try fishing and is planning more angling participation events throughout 2018.
Hundreds of free angling events like this are happening across England. Find them at ‘Get Fishing Near You‘. Please encourage any schools that you know to get in touch with me so I can help them get more schoolchildren into fishing! It’s a great way to get active, learn about and reconnect with nature…
