The second qualifier of RiverFest 2020 was on the River Trent at Newark Dyke and with the river looking in good nick, there were some good mixed bags expected.
Rob Casterton won the match from the East Stoke section peg 48, where he’s had a wonderful day catching roach on the pole with hemp and caster for an impressive 20lb 8oz.
Toby Bunting was second in the match from Dyke section and also put together a decent bag of roach on hemp for his 15lb 10oz and the second qualifying spot.
Qualifying from the Rolleston section was Paul Cannon, Paul drew peg 27 and fished a groundbait feeder for mainly skimmers in his 14lb 3oz.
Our thanks to local organiser Andy Starkey for hosting a well-run qualifier.
